Greetings AMS Families,
UPCOMING EVENTS:
THURSDAY, MAY 14 – 6th GRADE LIVING MUSEUM – 8:30-10:00am
Parents/Guardians are invited to visit the 6th grade Museum and see all the exhibits that students have created. Please see attached flyer for more information.
THURSDAY, MAY 14 – 7TH-8TH GRADE ORCHESTRA CONCERT in the AMS Gym 6:00pm
MONDAY, MAY 18 – iPAD TURN-IN DAY
Students will be turning in their iPad, cord, and charger during Social Studies classes.
FRIDAY, MAY 15 – AMS TALENT SHOW 3:00pm in the AMS Gym
STUCO is hosting our year-end Talent Show. All students are welcome to share a talent. If they want to be in the talent show they need to scan the QR code on the attached flyer and follow the instructions. If they have questions tell them to come see Amanda Seiler in A112. All acts are welcome, they just need to be school appropriate! STUCO members will be coming around to advisories next week to share the flyer in person and answer any questions. There will be a Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, May 14 in AMS Gym at 3:00pm.
THURS, MAY 21 – 8TH GRADE FAREWELL CELEBRATION
We will be having our Class of 2030 8th Grade Farewell on Thursday, May 21, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. We will have decorated areas for pictures (Giant 2030 numbers, Congratulations Sign, Festive backdrop, AMS Marquee and Front Wall with School Name) This event will take place in the front circle parking lot. Students will receive promotion certificates, and our booster club will be providing treats. The front drive will be blocked off for this celebration. Parking will be available in the back-parking lot, as well as the Anthony Recreation Center parking lot. In the case of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to the AMS Gym. THURS, MAY 21 – 8TH GRADE CITY WIDE DANCE – 7:30-10:00pm in the Eisenhower Recreation Center
The City-Wide 8th Grade Dance Committee is excited to provide a fun evening to the 8th graders as they celebrate moving into high school.
We are currently looking for donations to help with food and prizes.

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS for future 7th & 8th graders
The following Summer Sports Camps are available at the link below:
Football Camp, Football Conditioning, All-Sports Conditioning, and Volleyball.
There will not be Boys Basketball or Girls Basketball Camps this summer.

GENERAL INFORMATION
ADMITTANCE TO THE SCHOOL BUILDING-
We also want to make you aware of our policy requiring an ID to pick up your student from school. Please be prepared to show your ID – Driver's License or State Issued ID to the Attendance Secretary when you come in to pick up your student. Also, please call the office ahead of time on the appointment day and we can have your student in the office, ready for pick-up.

CHILD NUTRITION
AMS DAILY NEWSLETTER – is available daily on ParentSquare. A message will not be sent out. The AMS Daily Newsletter contains dates and information for upcoming events, clubs and activities, the lunch menu for the day, and other important information. It is available each day at 3:00pm for the next school day.
LOST & FOUND:
Please have your students check the Lost & Found Racks for any missing clothing, lunch boxes, binders, and other items.
Lost Water Bottles or electronics, jewelry, cash, or other small items, are in the office.
All unclaimed items are donated at the end of each month.
