After School Homework Assistance

ASHA (After School Homework Assistance) is a supervised after school study hall that is available to all students. It's a great time to get some extra help or just have a nice quiet, supervised place to finish up some homework. Students attending ASHA are expected to bring something to work on and stay busy the entire time. It is not a social hour! If your student is serious about getting ahead or getting caught up on homework, ASHA is a great option. ASHA meets Tuesday and Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:30pm. Students that attend ASHA are eligible to ride the late bus that picks students up at 5:30pm.

Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan

The Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan is a place where teens are empowered to grow, lead, and reach their full potential! BGC provides a safe, supportive, and fun environment where teens can build friendships, explore new opportunities, and just be themselves through open rec, hangout spaces, games, and everyday teen activities. Our programs focus on academic success, workforce readiness, leadership development, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. Through hands-on experiences, career exploration, volunteer opportunities, and fun social experiences, we help teens build confidence, gain real-world skills, and become engaged leaders in their schools and communities.

All students aged 5 (enrolled in Kindergarten) to 18 are eligible to enroll in Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan programs. Middle School Boys & Girls Club programs take place at The Club Teen Center (220 S. 5th St. Manhattan, KS) from 3:50 to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday and until 9:00 PM on Fridays, offering dinner every night for teen members. Transportation to the Teen Center is provided. School district personnel are not able to take registrations or payments for BGC, and no supervision is provided outside of school hours for students not enrolled in BGC.
